ABSTRACT

Objective:To evaluate the teaching effect of Emergency Nursing practice course using scenario simulation teaching combined with formative assessment. Methods:The subjects were selected from vocational nursing students of Batch 2015 (control group, n=49) and Batch 2016 (intervention group, n=40). The control group adopted the scenario simulation teaching method, and the intervention group added formative assessment on the basis of simulation teaching. The end-of-term theoretical scores of Emergency Nursing and the scores of students' general self-efficacy scale were used as evaluation tools. SPSS 22.0 statistical software was used for data processing and analysis. Results:The scores of the intervention group (85.20±8.05) were higher than those of the control group (79.73±8.46), with statistical significance ( P<0.05). The scores of self-efficacy in both groups were improved, while the scores of the control group after the course (2.68±0.42) were higher than those before the course (2.61±0.47), but there was no statistical significance. The scores of the intervention group after the course (2.78±0.43) were higher than those before the course (2.62±0.43), with statistical significance. Conclusion:The application of scenario simulation teaching combined with formative assessment in the practical course of Emergency Nursing can be helpful to improve students' self-efficacy and comprehensive ability of first aid.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To study the related factors of pressure ulcer in liver transplantation patients, to understand the occurrence of postoperative pressure sores in liver transplantation patients, and to propose corresponding nursing strategies to provide theoretical basis for clinical nursing work. Methods:A total of 93 patients with liver transplantation were investigated for postoperative pressure ulcers using a general data sheet and a Braden risk assessment form. Results:The Braden risk score of liver transplantation patients was significantly positively correlated with pressure ulcers ( t value was -3.512, P<0.01). Among the risk factors affecting patients with surgical pressure sores, low pressure ulcer score, postoperative hypotension and low serum albumin were pressure ulcers. The risk factors, OR value were 1.185 (1.037-1.354), 9.443 (2.273-39.237), 1.325 (1.119-1.570), and the short operation time was the protective factor of pressure ulcer. The OR value was 0.729 (0.542-0.981). Conclusions:Clinical medical staff should take comprehensive measures to treat patients with liver transplantation in different situations, reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers and improve the quality of life of patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective Three common positions have been observed for its influence on the objective indicators of the patients with unilateral lung disease, and the change of subjective symptoms in these patients were collected. Methods The study group consisted of 93 patients who had unilateral lung diseases, each of which was randomly observed for three common positions (healthy side position, affected side position and the horizontal position) for 30 minutes respectively. In these patients, the changes of the objective indictors (heart rate, breathing, blood oxygen saturation, the mean arterial pressure) and subjective symptoms (chest stuffiness, breath is aggravating, etc.) were recorded. Results When using different positions,no statistical difference was observed with the heart rate, breathing, oxygen saturation and mean arterial pressure, whereas when affected side position was taken, the occurrence of worrisome symptoms was obviously higher than the condition when using healthy side position and the horizontal position. There was no statistical difference between the two groups of healthy side position and the horizontal position. Conclusions The occurrence of worrisome symptoms in the case of affected side po-sition is significantly more than the other two positions, indicating that patients with unilateral pulmonary disease are more willing to adopt the healthy side position and the horizontal position.
